Lee DeWyze shares his new video FIGHT with a heartfelt message

Lee DeWyze wrote a song called “FIGHT” that is the current single from his new album Frames. The songs first lines say “I wrote this song to make you feel alright today. I wrote it to make everything alright…” and in that same spirit DeWyze took to his Twitter account to explain to his fans why he made an adorable and whimsical video to accompany his inspiring song.

See his message and video below….

From: Lee DeWyze

My friend and I, made a music video ourselves. In an ever competitive, and quickly changing industry, we wanted to make something new, something different, something special. So we decided to make this video.

We wanted to do something that hasn’t been done before like this. Something that can put a smile on your face, and make you want to tap your feet.

Something that shows that you don’t need anything but a creative idea, and the drive to do something with it.

So we made this video for my new single Fight, I hope you like it..

.And share with everyone you think may like it as well.

This is my new music video, for my single “Fight”

Working from the heart….Hometown fans organize to spread the word of Lee DeWyze’s Chicago area shows!

Lee DeWyze will be heading back to his old stomping grounds this summer and some local fans have gotten together to spread the word.

I want to share this story with you. A story of what the amazing fans from Lee’s hometown and surrounding area’s do behind the scenes because…. well, simply put, they humble me. Rarely do people know the work and dedication that is happening quietly behind the tweets and the posts but today I want to shine some light on these homegrown fans and their unwavering belief in Lee and love for his music

Hometown shows are notably well attended and I would look for these live performances in July and Augist in the Chicago area to be no exception to the past so as a fyi you will want to grab your tickets before they sell out!

Get show tickets HERE by linking from the official website!

Spearheaded by Annie (@DeWyzeFan6) and Pam (@Magical_Lee) whom are longtime fans back from the start of American Idol Season 9, these gals have gotten back page press from Mount Prospects local paper,The Daily Herald, as well as hit the streets putting up flyers and leaving info cards throughout the area that were designed and printed by Annie (@DeWyzeFan6) who is professionally a graphic designer.

With the help of some friends these posters are proudly displayed in store windows throughout the area!

And if that isn’t enough this same pair joined by additional fans can be found on July 26th and 27th at the Mount Prospect “Block Party” where they have hosted a “LEE DEWYZE INFO TABLE” for the past two years. The table has info cards on Lee’s upcoming shows and music releases and for fun they have a life size cut out of Lee DeWyze for people to take their photo’s with. If you are in the area to attend Lee’s  Evanston SPACE show on the 28th I suggest you stop down at the Mount Prospect Block Party and follow the Lee music that will surely be blasting from their table.

Oh…and one more thing….to make fans coming to the show feel more at home in their neighborhood, Annie (@DeWyzeFan6) and Pam (@Magical_Lee) will be holding a no-host "Fan Party" before the Evanston shows on July 28th.

Remember when I met you on the park bench
And you smiled at me and said that we should be friends
Cause I was drowning there upon the dry land
You sat beside and put your hand in my hand
So you picked me up and you put me in a straight line
You looked at me and you said that it would be fine
If we take the time to find the silver lining
We can make these crying waters into wine
And well be alright
And well be alright
They, They don’t know our hearts
And they won’t break us apart
We , we don’t have so much
But we all we need is us
Remember when I found you on the cold ground
You were looking up as the sky was looking down
And you said that you were jealous of the bright stars
I said darling you’ll be brighter than they all are
And then I picked you up and put you in a straight line
I looked at you and said that it would be fine
If we take the time to find the silver lining
We can make these crying waters into wine
And well be alright
And well be alright
They, They don’t know our hearts
And they won’t break us apart
We , we don’t have so much
But we all we need is us
If we take the time to find the Silver Lining

Viper Alley, the concert of concerts: Lee DeWyze sings Silver Lining amidst a sea of glow sticks!

It was the concert of concerts. Fans came from near and far. Those attending the April 19th show at Viper Alley listed fans from Indonesia, Canada, Wisconsin, New York,Montana,Texas, Florida,Ohio, Missouri, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and I’m sure I missed a state or a country somewhere in there. But the point is that they traveled for many miles to the windy city of Chicago to watch Lee DeWyze perform his music on his home turf at Viper Alley.

Four years ago many of these people didn’t even know each other. Brought together by the love of DeWyze’s music they now call themselves friends and family. They stay at each others houses and they travel together. They are connected in real time by social media and they tweet real time show pictures and post video’s.

Knowing all of this it came as no surprise when one local Chicago fan, Annie (@DeWyzeFan6),told me she was going to purchase 300 glow sticks to hand out to concert goers as a surprise for Lee when he sang his new single, Silver Lining at the Viper Alley show FridaSurprised he was! Take a look at the following video’s where 300 glow sticks lite up the venue during Lee’s performance of Silver Lining!
